Practicing law in Southern California since 1989, David B. Felsenthal has represented large and small corporations, real estate firms, start-up companies, Hollywood talent and business managers, apparel companies, entrepreneurs, attorneys, accountants and family businesses.
David’s successful representations include:
- Lead defense counsel in over 50 coordinated class action cases for alleged violations of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act – Los Angeles trial judge dismissed all cases after adopting his arguments
- Nonsuit in defendant’s favor in jury trial where 1980’s rock band sued its former business manager for alleged investment losses
- Bench trial victories for both landlords and tenants
- Bench trial victories in family court in marital disputes over trademark value and child support
- Arbitration victories in many disputes, including partnership dissolutions, real estate disputes, employment claims and claims by attorneys
- Three 12-0 jury convictions as a temporary criminal prosecutor in Los Angeles County Bar’s TAP program
David began his legal career as a commercial litigator at the top ten international law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP. He then joined the “big four” accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP as senior in-house counsel.
From 2000 to 2004, David was full-time General Counsel of start-up Fax.com, Inc. in Aliso Viejo, California, in charge of the company’s domestic and international legal matters. David returned to private practice in Los Angeles in 2005, first as the primary trial lawyer of a Century City boutique business law firm and later as the founder and principal of the Felsenthal Law Firm.
David has been married to Felisa Felsenthal since 1989–the same year he began practicing law. The Felsenthals are proud parents of three adult children.
